KD was the LEED Commissioning Authority for the award-winning Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre Expansion Project. The commissioned systems included all major building systems such as HVAC, Plumbing, and the Integrated Building Controls System. This building achieved LEED Platinum certification and is the first LEED Platinum certified convention centre in the world. In addition to doing the Commissioning Authority work, KD provided Mechanical Commissioning Agent & Testing and Balancing services thus providing a comprehensive service for this high-profile project.

KD also prepared the Mechanical Operating and Maintenance Manuals. Being a P3 project, it was imperative that the commissioning was completed with a report in hand for the fixed-in-stone turn over date. KD along with our partners delivered. KD is one of the few companies in British Columbia that can provide a comprehensive commissioning and balancing service on large projects such as Surrey Memorial.
